Last Saturday, we held an inspiring college admissions workshop at the Stillwell Community Center! Outstanding students from top universities shared their success stories, covering everything from school selection strategies to essay writing and interview tips. The session was packed with valuable insights that left everyone feeling motivated and informed!

🚶Alzheimer' CaringKind Central Park Walk🚶

On last Saturday, 10/19, we were honored to participate in the CaringKind - The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving Central Park Walk. We brought our elderly to participate in this meaningful event. We must continue to spread the awareness of Alzheimer's disease and educate the community members about the understanding the Dementia, signs and symptoms. We are continue to support this great organization and especially would like to Thanks Weijing Shi, the Asian Outreach Team Director for organizing and coordinating.

Asian Community Watch Team held a safety training at the our Sheepshead Bay center yesterday, followed by a community patrol. Together, we are committed to keeping our community safe!

Today we had a Moon Cake Distribution event at both Sheepshead Bay Branch and Bensonhurst Branch! Thank you to everyone who participated in our Moon Cake distribution event! 🥮Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration🥮

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! Today, we held a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration for our members in our community center. Together we shared a tasty lunch buffet, raffle drawings, and everyone had a mooncake! There were also fun activities such as karaoke and a mahjong stacking speed contest. Thank you to all the guests and elected officials who joined us and the sponsors who made this joyous celebration possible!

🏛️9/11 Memorial Gathering🏛️

Today we attended a memorial gathering at Seth Low Park for the lives lost in the tragic events on September 11th, 2001. Together, the community gathered to listen to the stories of events that happened that day as well as how those events changed everyone’s lives. Thank you to Assemblyman Colton William and Councilwoman Susan Zhuang for holding this community memorial to commemorate our lost loved ones.

🏃Healthy Exercise Class🏃

Exercise can be so much fun! Just look at how happy our members are when they're working out. We’ve just completed another section of our healthy exercise class , and the transformations over the past seven weeks have been incredible! Remember, no matter your age, you can stay active and energetic.

🌺Second Flower Arrangement Workshop🌺

We just wrapped up our second flower arrangement workshop, and it was a blooming success! Under the expert guidance of our instructor, members learned various flower arranging techniques and created stunning floral pieces. Each participant got to take home their beautiful creations to enjoy. A huge thank you to Sue from 8th Ave Florist for her support and expertise! We can’t wait for more flower arrangement workshops in the future!

From ancient fossils to majestic animals, this real-world experience was truly incredible. We’re grateful for the opportunity to blend education with adventure and create lasting memories!

Today’s Taishan Snack Day Introduction hosted in collaboration with Homecrest Community Services, Inc., was a memorable experience filled with delicious food. The seniors impressed us with a variety of traditional snacks, each made with care and skill, and we were fortunate to gain insights into the intricate processes behind the culinary creations. We thank Homecrest, all the staff, and all the participants who made the day special today!

Yesterday’s cleanup was a remarkable success, made possible by the incredible efforts of our dedicated staff and volunteers. Their hard work and commitment ensured that our streets were not only cleaner but also safer for the environment. Thank you State Senator Iwen Chu for organizing this event.

Today’s flower arranging workshop is a great success! Members followed the instructor’s guidance to learn flower arrangement techniques. In the end , each member got to take their beautiful creations home and enjoy! A special thanks to Sue from 8 Ave Florist !
